This course is for care workers who may be required to administer Medication at Level 2. Both theory and practical with a full assessment prior to certification.
Learners will be able to:
Understand the necessity of completing Medication training
Understand the importance of maintaining customers' privacy, dignity, independence and choice
Gain an awareness of the legislation surrounding Medication
Understand protocols and policies in regards to the documentation and administration of Medication
Understand protocols and policies in regards to receiving, storing and disposing of Medication
Be aware of boundaries when assisting/administering Medication
Understand what to do in the event of an administration error
Understand what you can and cannot do in relation to Medication
Be able to demonstrate through simulation the procedure for administering Medication safely.
